Showing why he is the undisputed scoring leader of the highest scoring team in the NBA - Amar'e Stoudemire burned the Houston Rockets on Sunday with a season-high 36 points as the Phoenix Suns won an impressive 115-111 overtime victory. The hard fought win came after Amar'e added eleven boards to his impressive performance and Steve Nash's brilliance in the passing department stunned Houston with 16 assists.

Grant Hill - the best bargain in the league - also chimed in by knocking down 19 points as he hit 7 of 11 from the floor.

Building on his recently improved performance Jared Dudley was in fine form as he scored 13 points in just 24:41 on the floor. J-Duds also blocked a shot and passed for two assists during key points in the game.

Robin Lopez did his best to shut down critics - yes indeed we mean vocal folks like us - and showed real scoring firepower. Hitting 75% of his shots from the field RoLo nailed 14 points in 27:20 minutes and grabbed six rebounds. Smile

But the Suns real offensive blizzard came from Amar'e Stoudemire until the tenacious forward/center ended-up fouling out just three minutes before the overtime period ended.

But the damage had already been done - Amar'e had stolen the show.

Stoudemire's offensive domination of the Rockets comes as the Suns management is once again fueling rumors about STAT's future in Phoenix. This is a sad reprise of the fingerpointing game that Steve Kerr played last year when he tried to dodge responsibility for the disasterous trade that he engineered bringing the Big Shaq to Phoenix for an one ill-fated season.

Serious Suns fans will never know why Kerr - a less than popular general manager - thought it made sense for the Suns to acquire the sluggish big man. What else is new when it comes to Kerr and personnel decisions?!?

C'mon - you might as well put on a blindfold and chuck a dart at the wall.

And now we're going through it - all over again.

Instead of encouraging the starting five - and commending Stoudemire for being such a big scoring engine this season - Kerr's management team is busy leaking uncomplimentary and even hostile stories that are designed to undermine Amar'e and pave the way for a trade.

Forget building toward the a play-off run - Kerr just needs an alibi for his own trail mistakes and Amar'e is his target of choice.

Well - dear readers - we're not having it. Amar'e Stoudemire is an awesome scorer and a dominant force on the court. So we're sticking by him - and we're going to give Kerr some hell in the coming weeks until we know that Amar'e is safe and appreciated here with the Suns.

Please join in the fun.

See ya'.
