The welcome embrace wasn't the first gesture offered to JRich when he came to the Suns as part of a mid-season trade last year that also saw us pick-up Jared Dudley. No, they were treated like skunks at a family picnic and no one wanted to share their planket with the strangers. But that was before Dudley put in that extra effort during the closing games of last season and, well, love was in the air as the Suns made a real run for that elusive play-off spot.
My how things can change when you are hankering for that Big Win.

Along with Dudley's court play, he showed a willingness to do his part. His ego wasn't an obstruction and we struck-up the proverbial band. But we're here to talk about his fellow traveler.
JRich is an undisputed scoring machine. During just 57 starts with the Suns, he nailed 950 points chalking-up a point on the scoreboard for every two minutes he was on the court. And with a season total of 1,212 points between his two employers, JRich had a higher season total than our man Amar'e Stoudemire. His season total of 76 steals - with 62 for the Suns - was second on the team to our top speed demon Leandro Barbosa. As for rebounds, his numbers would put him at fourth in the line-up. That's not bad for a guard.
But enough about us and the Suns. JRich has gone through some hard times - with law enforcement and the passing of his grandmother on May 7th - and we're glad to have back for the season's start. It is great to have a scorer and, maybe better yet, a guy with some proven character.
