Cover your eyes and don't even look at the box score. Why should you take a look when the Suns apparently weren't looking at the rim for most of the shots they threw up in this 121 - 102 loss to LA????
Come on guys - how can the Suns average 112 points per game and clock in against the Lakers with just 36.5% from the field?? Sure they are the world champs but we had been the hoop fiends this year hitting 50.8% for the season as the highest scoring team in the league.
But on Thursday night it was the Suns turn to bust a move - in the wrong direction. And even though they took 104 shots compared with the Lakers 92 attempts - the Suns hit 15 fewer buckets.
The only exception to this ugly mess was Jared Dudley's long distance success as he hit 3-4 from beyond the three point line to lead the Suns with 14 points.

We've been boosting J-Duds as a possible starter and he dominated the Suns line-up during the second half. His six rebounds in 24:13 minutes left Dudley just one board behind the pace set by Grant Hill and his energy helped push the Suns over the 100-point mark for the tenth straight game. This makes them the only NBA team to have shattered that mark in every game so far this season.
Stepping back to a team-wide overview - the Suns were spanked as badly by the Lakers as they were by the Orlando Magic back on Nov. 14th. That 122-100 loss knocked our crew off its undefeated pedestal - just as Thursday's defeat at the hands of the Lakers will bring Suns fandom back to earth. And - in another repeat of what happened in their earlier loss - the Suns starting line-up scored fewer points than our bench.
Dear readers we're going to lick these wounds and - just for kicks - spend a few minutes checking on whether Amar'e Stoudemire was playing blindfolded. How else can you explain his going 2-15 from the floor?!?
Sure - we love ya' STAT - but this was just bad.
See ya'.
