We came into tonight's contest with Detroit a little - oh, just spit it out - nervous.
Not that we've lost confidence in the Suns - but the collapse of our 3-point game during the defeat in New Orleans left us a bit uneasy. However, as this evening's game wrapped-up we could feel the upset stomach dissipating and the ulcer being put to rest by a supercharged Suns team that blew out the visitors by an impressive 117 - 91.
And our guys did it in style with shooting that you could write home to mother about. Yes - all the cylinders were firing and the numbers are impressive - the Suns hit 61.1% of their 3-point buckets and shot 57.5% from the field overall.

The top Suns scorer was our man - we're still pushing him for the Hall-of-Fame - Amar'e Stoudemire. STAT hit better than 63% from the field and knocked down 21 points in 30:28 minutes on the court. He also blocked two shots and was tagged for a technical foul after making his opinion just a little too well known.
Steve Nash - pretty much a lock on the Hall-of-Fame - was next up in the Suns scoring frenzy with 20 points and nine assists in just 27:59 on the court. Sure his assists were down from the usual number - but he didn't put in any real minutes - and the 35-year Canadian hit an eye-popping 88% from the field.
Talk about your hitting the mark. Swish!!
And a tip of the hat is due to the oldest of the crew - Grant Hill - a 37-year old NBA vet who hit for 8 points and snagged 8 rebounds in a mere 28:56 on the court.
Time to rejoin the celebration - see ya'.
