Watching the Suns come from behind victory against the Miami Heat on Tuesday, we're reminded of the recent Monty Python revival -especially an apt quote from the movie "The Life of Brian". You know what we're talking about - a great moment in cinema that happens when an ill looking man is thrown into a wheel-barrow and exclaims "I'm not dead yet".
Just about says it -don't ya' think?!? And that's why the Suns are still undefeated.
Credit the eight point win (104 - 96) to Steve Nash waking-up in the third quarter and nailing 17 points as he pushed the Suns into being relevant again. Nash went on to hit 30 points for the evening making him the winner of a battle of the All-Star guards that pit our floor leader against the Heat's Dwayne Wade.
Wade's 23 points fell a whole two baskets short of his season average and showed that the Suns do have the ability to play defense against even a top tier scoring machine. That could explain why Wade snapped in the fourth quarter and - after breaking the goggles of Suns forward Amar'e Stoudemire - pleaded innocence to the ref when called for a foul.
Heh Dwayne, didn't you feel it when you hit Stoudemire's face?

But Wade's meltdown at 6:49 in the fourth quarter didn't stop the Suns onslaught. They nailed another 17 points before the game closed with Nash and Jason Richardson hitting back-to-back 3-point shots near the five minute mark of the final quarter. Nash then sent a quick inside pass to J-Rich for a down low 2-pointer.
It made for an 8 -0 Suns run that visibly crushed Miami at a time when they were working on a comeback. Let that be a lesson to you - if you want to respond to our guy's with a fourth quarter run - don't spend the evening revving-up your engines.
This win is especially sweet because it marks the second game in which the Suns have come from behind to nail down a win. And we're still rolling.
See ya'.
