There is nothing like a teddy bear to hold onto when you are licking some wounds. And trust us dear Suns fans - we all need to lick our wounds after being manhandled by the Lakers on Thursday night. Sure the Denver Nuggets have avenged our defeat - but we still need something to hold onto.
And it is time to let the truth out and tell it from the highest mountain tops - even at the risk of fueling some wildly inaccurate rumors.

You see - Jared Dudley is our teddy bear here at www.sunsstufft.com.
We tried dropping a hint when we put up a poll on J-Duds just before the season started - it is still there on the right side of the page and we urge the laggards in the group to get to it and cast your votes. No sake waiting folks - we don't have any bribe money in the budget.
A 24-year old Boston College product, Dudley was slow to was slow to make a dent in the NBA and wasn't getting much playing time with the Suns until Amar'e Stoudemire was forced off the court by a serious eye injury. Yes Virginia - we know - Amar'e is still recovering.
Stoudemire's cornea problem initially opened the door for Jared to get more court time back in March and April when the Suns were making a failed play-off bid toward the end of last season. He showed real hustle - not too much of a shot - but a go-get-it style of play that caught on with the home court fans. And that was just the beginning.
So far this season, J-Duds has blown past his career average of 5.9 points per game with notable scoring performances against our last three opponents; 18pts vs. Philly on Nov. 9, 11pts vs. New Orleans on Nov. 11, and 14pts vs. Laker on Nov. 12. Against the Lakers he also grabbed six rebounds - nearly double his average of 3.5 per game since joining the NBA.
So if you're wondering who we turn to on this quiet November night - just picture a mental image of a hard bitten blogger holding a teddy bear with J-Duds face written all over it. And don't forget the warm milk while you're at it.
See ya'.
