We have long trumpeted the virtues of Amar'e Stoudemire - even before we encamped here at www.sunsstufft.com.
A player who has never graced an NBA court in anything but a Suns uniform - Amar'e has engendered his share of controversy over the years. Yes dear reader, there are those who have questioned his commitment to defense and even looked askance at our promotion of STAT as a Hall-of-Famer in the making. Of course, we know they're wrong - and we are hoping that after Wednesday evening - those small voices will relent.
Yep, the Suns win over Memphis on Wednesday (126-111) was an Amar'e Stoudemire showcase that should blow the socks - and shoes - off the worst critic of our favorite pro player. And the tutorial he offered will go down as a chapter in the book of "I Told You So".

We could focus on Stoudemire's three blocks and how that contributed to clogging-up the big man from Memphis - Marc Gasol - and limiting Gasol to just eight attempts from the field despite being the tallest man on the court. Or we could look at Amar'e nailing nearly 70% from the field for 28 points in 36:31 minutes. Or his perfection from the free throw line as Amar'e hit both his gimme shots.
But more important than the stats - was the real dominance he demonstrated on both ends of the court. The energy and intensity - was a beauty to behold. And it showed that Amar'e was back in his All-Star form from years gone by.
So - with Thanksgiving upon us - we are going to offer everyone a hearty thanks for reading and close this piece with a plea. Please take a few minutes to cast your ballot for Amar'e Stoudemire in this year's NBA All-Star voting. And - due to an absurd quirk in the balloting - the only way you can vote for Amar'e is by selecting him as your choice for the Western Conference's center.
Besides ranting about the unfairness of listing Amar'e as a center when he hasn't played that position in years - the only thing we can do is vote early and often for the man known as STAT. So hit that computer keyboard - let your voice be heard - and keep on trucking.
See ya'.
